The International Timing and Sync Forum (ITSF) is pleased to announce a two day workshop of online tutorials on time and sync for networking lead by some of the key specialists in the industry.
Day 1 will cover several foundational topics including discussions on alignment, oscillators, PLLs, atomic clocks, clock metrics, testing clocks, and primary sources of timing. GNSS has become the preferred approach for synchronization over wide geographical areas and is, arguably the preferred methodology for distributing UTC across the globe. Two presentations address this important topic.
Day 2 begins with a presentation on ITU-T SG15 Q13 that is one of the main standardisation groups that actively addresses the timing needs of the Telecommunication and other connected industries. Subsequent presentations show how various synchronisation technologies can be utilised to distribute a timing reference that can address the needs of the various industry sectors.
